Her sermon has gone viral as the Christian community protests its humanistic and scripturally antithetical message.
She goes on to say, “So, I want you to know this morning: Just do good for your own self. Do good because God wants you to be happy. When you come to church, when you worship Him, you’re not doing it for God really. You’re doing it for yourself, because that’s what makes God happy. Amen?”

The first time I watched this video I thought, you have got to be kidding me! But then I realized something else. Although her message is blatantly wrong could it still be a reflection of our core belief system and how we live?
Next up on the blog, I'll be diving a bit deeper into this subject but meanwhile, I'd like to encourage you to read the book of James. Here's a question I want you to consider: Could it be that somewhere along the way, the secular worldview has creeped into the church and the church has merged it's belief system to that of the world? Why or why not?

Philippians3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man." Eccl. 12:13 It should really be ALL about HIM!
Hannah, that's right! Amen. :)
